First 15 days of April we visited in Volkswagen Syncro Sweden from south to north Darlana .
( 5000Kms with 2500kms on site )
The early days, this is a late winter campaign we discovered . But soon, driving north, snowfields and ice have replaced the black earth .
From the middle of the lake Varnen, rivers and lakes around were completely frozen. Paths South fatty and slippery, were now replaced by others covered with snow and ice.
Rare forest trails open to traffic were often inaccessible due to snow depth .
Main roads were clear, but many patches of ice remained on the secondary network.
Temperature dropped between -6 ° and -10 ° C in the sun at night.
The maximum 8 ° C in the sun in the afternoon .
" Hard drive " the " Bed in Syncro ", ice covered the inside of the windshield in the morning.
We were fortunate in this period of late winter to approach many wild animals. Include: an elk, foxes, wild geese, a capercaillie, deer and especially the hundreds of cranes returning from Africa.
Hats off and a big thank you to VW garage Billmétro Falun that repairs us in less than 2 hours when a metal pipe cooling system of the engine pierced without warning.
